Kubo Stays
There’s something
about coming home.
If you grew up in the Philippines, you probably know the feeling.
The feeling
It isn’t one particular kind of house.
It isn’t a certain style of furniture, or something we can easily recreate with décor.
It’s just a feeling — the familiarity of the place, the warmth, the little things around you, and knowing you can put your bags down and feel at home.
That feeling is where Kubo Stays began.

Why Kubo?
For us, Kubo represents something simple: home.
We’re not trying to recreate a traditional bahay kubo inside every property. Our homes can look completely different from one another. A quiet apartment in Tagaytay should feel different from a city stay in Makati.
What we look for is something harder to describe.
When we take on a property, we ask ourselves: how can we make this feel like somewhere we’d want to come home to?
Sometimes it’s the way a room feels in the evening. A comfortable place to sit after a long day. A view you want to wake up to. Small details that make a space feel cared for rather than simply prepared for the next booking.
That’s what we want Kubo to be.
From one home
It started with one property.
Kubo wasn’t created as a hotel chain or a big hospitality concept.
It grew from actually managing homes. One property became more. Our operations grew through Tagaytay and Metro Manila, and along the way we learned a lot about what makes a stay work — not only the property itself, but everything happening behind it.
Cleaning. Guest messages. Check-ins. Maintenance. The small problems nobody thinks about until something goes wrong.
Stanmore Properties grew around that operational side of the business. But we wanted the homes and the experience our guests have inside them to have an identity of their own.
So we created Kubo Stays.

The Kubo way
Every Kubo will be
a little different.
We don’t want every Kubo property to look the same. We want each home to keep its own character.
Tagaytay should feel like Tagaytay. Makati should feel like Makati. And as we grow into new places, those homes should have their own character too.
What should remain the same is how they’re cared for.
A Kubo should feel comfortable. Thoughtful. Easy to settle into.
For Filipino guests, we hope there’s something about it that feels familiar. And for guests discovering the Philippines for the first time, we hope they get to experience a little of the warmth that made us want to build Kubo in the first place.
Behind every stay
Kubo Stays is the hospitality side of what we do.
Behind it is Stanmore Properties, which manages the day-to-day work that keeps our homes running — from preparing properties and managing bookings to guest support, cleaning and maintenance.
One takes care of the property.
The other is about how it feels to stay there.
Together, that’s Kubo.
A warmer way to stay
That’s Kubo.
A warmer way to stay.
